At Inspired Minds we offer a variety of workshops designed to enhance your quality of life. Our workshops are educational, interactive, experiential and offer concrete skills and strategies that you can integrate into your current life. Workshops are offered throughout the year in a variety of formats (one day, 4-6 week series and/or weekends).
Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation
This class is intended to introduce participants to:
- what mindfulness is and how to integrate it in daily life to gradually bring more awareness and less stress
- meditation and/or strengthen their current practice
- home meditation practice and how to stay committed
- incorporating mini mediation throughout the day
- quieting the mind and bringing calmness into life
This 6 week series is for beginners and those looking to learn more about meditation in the tradition of Yoga. Each session will introduce participants to new skills and techniques for exploring mindfulness and experimenting with meditation. The intention of the workshop is to introduce participants to meditation as a meaningful tool for personal growth while offering skills for continuing a daily practice.
Weekly sessions are 90 minutes in length and include short 10-15 minute guided meditations, mindful movement, group discussion, written materials and homework assignments. Meditation cushions, bolsters, blankets, and chairs are available for use.

Understanding DBT and Emotion Dysregulation
This 6-hour workshop is aimed to assist the parents, siblings, loved ones and/or professional of individuals who experience emotion dysregulation, borderline personality disorder and/or who are participating in a DBT program. This workshop will provide an overview of DBT as well as strategies to help you organize and understand complex problem behaviour from a DBT perspective; develop an understanding of your loved one’s problems; apply DBT skills to your own emotional responses; learn how to support someone learning the DBT skills and manage your own stress by learning how to set and maintain boundaries. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and problem solve your specific areas of concern. The cost of this workshop is $349. February 20, 27 & March 5, 2020. 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Yoga Foundation Workshop
If you feel intimidated to go to a yoga studio or practice on your own, this 4-week yoga foundation workshop is just what you need!
It is designed to help you become comfortable on your mat and you will learn about the different styles of yoga; how to connect breath and movement as you move through various postures; postural alignment; how to use props to help assist and deepen your practice; the foundation of standing postures; floor postures, twists, backbends and inversions. Classes will be held on Tuesday’s 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Investment: $125

What's Keeping You Stuck?
This 2- hour workshop is designed for those who are having difficulty setting and/or meeting their goals. It will help you understand the stages of change, how to problem solve unwanted emotions that interfere or sabotage your progress and set realistic goals. Cost $60.
