Leigh is a graduate of the University of Calgary Master of Social Work program, with a specialization in trauma-informed care. She has been a registered Social Worker since 2018, first with the Manitoba College of Social Workers and now here in Alberta. Leigh has worked in diverse inpatient and community contexts, and specializes in helping adults address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, mood disorders, and psychosis. Leigh has received training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (including CBT for Schizophrenia), and somatic techniques for trauma. Leigh grounds these therapeutic modalities in feminist and queer theoretical perspectives. Leigh is passionate about helping clients learn skills to cope with life stressors, and grow into the life they’d like to lead. In spare time, Leigh enjoys quilting, cross-stitching and the occasional kayaking misadventure.
